There are approximately between 1050 and 1800 Indochinese tigers in the wild and about 60 in captivity.

The wild Indochinese tigers can be found in Thailand and Indochina where they live in remote forests that are often very hilly and mountainous.

The Indochinese tiger looks like the Bengal tiger except it is slightly smaller and darker than the Bengal with shorter and narrower stripes.

Males average 2.7 meters from head to tail and weigh about180 kg. Females are smaller, measuring about 2.4 meters in length and weighing approximately 115 kg.

The range size of this tiger is not well-known, however there are about 4 adult tigers in 100 km˛.
