  • There are approximately between 1050 and 1800 Indochinese tigers in the wild and about 60 in captivity.

  • The wild Indochinese tigers can be found in Thailand and Indochina where they live in remote forests that are often very hilly and mountainous.

  • The Indochinese tiger looks like the Bengal tiger except it is slightly smaller and darker than the Bengal with shorter and narrower stripes.

  • Males average 2.7 meters from head to tail and weigh about180 kg. Females are smaller, measuring about 2.4 meters in length and weighing approximately 115 kg.

  • The range size of this tiger is not well-known, however there are about 4 adult tigers in 100 km˛.
